Death sense: Natsuno is a vampire but technically he didn't die. Basically he won vampire lottery and instead of dying and rising as a walking corpse his blood changed and gave him all the powers with fewer weaknesses. He's alive, warm, has a pulse etc. If Bash can sense things that happened on the brink of death, feel free to notice his weird blood.
He DID die in an explosion before arriving on the ship.
